In a series of violent incidents on Friday, at least three Israeli settlers were injured in two separate attacks in the occupied West Bank. These incidents highlight the escalating tension in the region, following Israel’s large-scale military operations in both the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
The first attack occurred near a gas station close to Al-Quds (Jerusalem), where a vehicle explosion left two Israeli settlers injured. The Israeli military reported that the individual responsible for the attack was shot and killed by security forces.
In a separate incident near Al-Khalil (Hebron), a settler was injured in what authorities described as an attempted car-ramming attack. The person behind this attack was also shot and killed by Israeli troops.

These incidents come amid a broader context of increasing violence in the West Bank. Since Israel launched its military operations last October, over 670 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank. The violence has been further exacerbated by Israel’s ongoing military incursion into the Gaza Strip, where the death toll has reached at least 40,600 people, with another 93,778 wounded.
The Palestinian Centre for Human Rights, al-Haq, and Al Mezan Center for Human Rights have all raised alarms about the intensifying violence in the West Bank, warning that the tactics employed by Israeli forces mirror those used in the Gaza Strip.
As the situation continues to deteriorate, the international community remains deeply concerned about the escalating conflict and the heavy toll it is taking on both sides.
