Hezbollah Vows Total Defeat of Israeli Occupiers as Ceasefire Violations Continue
In a powerful declaration, Sheikh Naim Qassem, Secretary General of Lebanon’s Hezbollah movement, vowed that resistance against Israeli forces will persist until their “final annihilation.” Speaking via video to a conference in Qom, Iran, Qassem emphasized that no global power could suppress the determination of the Islamic Ummah and that Hezbollah would not rest until the occupiers are fully expelled.
Addressing scholars at the “Qom Seminary, Islamic Revolution, and Resistance” conference, Qassem praised the Qom Seminary for its historical role in fueling liberation movements across the region. He highlighted that Imam Khomeini’s ideology was the guiding light for Lebanon’s resistance following the Israeli invasion of their land decades ago.
Qassem condemned Israel’s latest assault involving 75,000 troops and reaffirmed that only resistance could deliver true freedom. “It is not just a military struggle. Hezbollah represents a mindset—one that defies colonialism and foreign domination,” he stated.
Despite a ceasefire that took effect on November 27 following Israel’s failure to achieve its objectives in Lebanon, Israeli forces have continued to breach the agreement through airstrikes and ongoing military presence. Lebanon has denounced these violations and vowed to take “all necessary measures” to expel the occupiers.
Supporters of Hezbollah believe the movement’s persistence is key to safeguarding Lebanon’s dignity and sovereignty.
